- Final Fantasy Resonance releases worldwide on October 22, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store).
- # Is Final Fantasy Resonance a gacha game?
- No. Resonance is a full premium single-player RPG with no gacha mechanics, no stamina and no live-service pulls. It reimagines the story of the Brave Exvius mobile game as a complete standalone adventure you buy once.
- # Is it connected to Final Fantasy Brave Exvius?
- Yes — Resonance retells the first story arc of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (the mobile RPG that ended service in 2024), with Rain, Lasswell and Fina as its heroes, plus new story additions. You do not need to have played Brave Exvius to follow the story.
- # Is combat turn-based?
- Yes. Final Fantasy Resonance uses classic turn-based combat blended with modern elements, in line with the HD-2D tradition of Octopath Traveler and the Dragon Quest remakes.
- # What is HD-2D?
- HD-2D is Square Enix's signature style mixing detailed pixel-art characters with diorama-like 3D environments, dynamic lighting and depth-of-field. Resonance is the first Final Fantasy built in this style.

- Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
- # How much does it cost and what editions exist?
